ISOV (Positive Air Shutoff Valve) is a game-changer in ensuring safety and preventing catastrophic incidents for the marine, oil & gas, mining and other high-stakes industries.
ISOV Valve:
The ISOV series serves as an emergency shutdown for engines, averting mechanical failure, engine damage, and potential explosions. These valves act as air intake shutoff mechanisms, preventing engine overspeed by cutting off air intake. Built to withstand temperatures up to 180°C (for higher temperatures please contact us), they are designed to meet the highest industry standards, providing optimal protection against extreme pressure spikes.Diversity in Options: Our ISOV valves come in a range of diameters (51 to 280mm) and materials to cater for diverse industry needs. The selection includes photoelectric and electromechanical switches, the latter being crucial for marine and offshore applications.
Four Types of ISOV Valves:
1. Electric ISOV Valves:
Activated by a linear 24 VDC solenoid.
Allows for manual override in case of power loss.
Available in the N series with diameters up to 203mm.
2. Manual ISOV Valves:
Remote manual mode for mobile equipment.
Equipped with a special kit for operator cabin connection.
Ideal for trucks, generators, and welding machinery.
3. Pneumatic ISOV Valves:
Operates through air or oil pressure.
Widely used in marine and offshore applications.
Various sizes and flange adapters available.
4. Failsafe ISOV Valves:
Closes when electric power is lost.
Suitable for offshore cranes and oil/gas installations.
Requires pressure to keep the valve open, closing during a loss of pressure.
ISOV N600-E in Detail: The ISOV N600-E sets itself apart with unique characteristics tailored for optimal safety and operational efficiency. In the event of a power loss the ISOV N600-E is equipped with a manual pull handle, reinforcing safety protocols and ensuring that the valve can be controlled even when electric power is unavailable.
For this particular offshore project, we customized the air-intake flange diameter, which were manufactured to be larger than on the usual ISOV N600-E series.
