• Hotstart’s OLP is a large capacity oil heating system designed to maintain optimal temperatures for diesel and gas engines in stationary land power and marine applications. Designed as a user-friendly, pre-packaged system, the OLP includes all necessary components. The OLP’s remote automatic function and customer interface connections enable it to be easily integrated into any control system.
• To improve equipment startability and availability, the OLP maintains a consistent and uniform temperature by circulating heated oil throughout the engine oil sump – ensuring oil viscosity is at optimal levels for engine protection. When compared to cold engine starts, maintaining optimal temperature during down time lowers NOx emissions at engine startup. Engine heating also eliminates the need for extended idling, reducing overall maintenance expenses.
• In warmer, humid climates, temperature variation can cause condensation to collect in the cylinders, resulting in starting issues and frequent maintenance.
