Hotstart OCLP Dual Fluid Heating System

The OCLP model is a CSA US Certified coolant preheater that is specifically designed to maintain optimal temperatures for diesel and gas engines in stationary land power and marine applications.

This pre-packaged system is plate-mounted and user-friendly, and comes with all necessary components included. With its remote automatic function and customer interface connections, the OCLP can be easily integrated into any control system.

Description

The OCLP is designed to improve engine startability and availability by circulating heated coolant throughout the engine block and heated oil throughout the sump, maintaining a consistent and uniform temperature. This eliminates hot spots and ensures optimal oil viscosity levels for engine protection. Compared to cold starts, maintaining optimal engine heat during downtime lowers NOx emissions during startup. Additionally, engine heating eliminates the need for extended idling, reducing overall maintenance expenses.

In cold climates, HOTSTART heating systems ensure immediate startup on demand even in freezing temperatures. This makes them ideal for use in such environments. In warm, humid climates, HOTSTART systems maintain equipment above the dew point, which prevents condensation from forming inside the heads during cool-down periods, thereby minimizing the risk of damage.
