In this month’s article, we want to introduce you to an exciting new product, the EVRHEAT, a new model engine heater available in our portfolio. We’ll highlight why it’s an improvement to the existing engine heater line up, and how it can save you up to 45% energy annually.
We’re excited to unveil our latest addition to the engine heating line-up: the EVRHEAT Series 20, meticulously crafted with efficiency and reliability in mind. Designed for a multitude of industries including marine, automotive, and heavy duty applications, the EVRHEAT Series 20 boasts improved features that ensure optimal performance and higher levels of safety.
The EVRHEAT is a forced circulation heater that has an integrated pump that pushes heated coolant through the engine, to (pre-)heat the engine evenly, which reduces maintenance on plumbing and saves energy. This new model comes with integrated controls and sensors that provide real-time status updates via an LED display, allowing operators to easily check if the heater is operating correctly or needs attention.

1. Energy efficient & increased lifespan
The EVRHEAT Series 20 uses solid state controls to respond to fluid temperature changes as little as 1 °F, resulting in increased temperature uniformity and eliminating low temperature alarms.
In the picture above are the results of studies done in the United States, showcasing the energy savings of the EVR20 compared to traditional TPS, CTM and CB models at different temperatures.
With potential energy savings of up to 45%, it’s a game-changer in optimizing annual operational costs while delivering superior performance.
With the new design, the EVRHEAT also boasts fewer mechanical parts, and manages heatflow better, which means less wear and tear on the plumbing and increases the life span significantly.
2. Safety
One of the new features that has been requested by our global client-base most often is improved safety and control. The EVR20 series now has an LED screen, that provides real-time feedback on heater operation and temperature status, ensuring your engine is always primed for action.
The integrated controls and sensors monitor heater and coolant status, automatically, so that if there is a fault, or there is no coolant inside the tank, the heater will not turn on, avoiding potentially life-threatening dry fire situations in hazardous locations. To our customers in marine, mining and other closed engine rooms, we recommend the EVRHEAT model over our existing TPS and CTM models, which do not have this automated shut-off function.
3. Accuracy
Using solid-state controls, the EVRHEAT responds to temperature changes as little as 1 degree (F), so there is not a lot of over- or underheating of the coolant, which allows the plumbing to not wear out as fast as on the traditional models. This prevents coolant leaks and reduces engine heat-up times. We offer the option to set the heater to a different temperature set point for larger orders, with the limit at 75°C. If you are looking for the flexibility to set up your own temperature range, please look at our TPS or CTM range.
4. Easy installation
We have simplified installation with an adjustable 180° swivel inlet hose barb, accommodating plumbing requirements in confined spaces and facilitating easy field retrofits. Hotstart has kept the design very similar to the TPS heater, so that when our customer base wants to upgrade to this new, more energy efficient model, installation is very simple, with inlet and outlet positions close to that of the previous model.

The EVRHEAT is used in power generation, marine, heavy duty machinery industries. With its IP66 protection, it is a robust, watertight design that can be used on all types of vessels, from yachts and pleasure boats to coastguard ships and tugboats.
Other industries are Construction & Excavation, on-highway vehicles like trucks & buses, small crafts, on-site power. Power generation, marine, machinery, truck & bus.
We offer the following models, ranging from 120V to 240V for engine sizes up to 20L. Depending on your requirements, our models are UL, CE or UKCA certified.
